Automotive Ethernet Congress 2024

AVIVA returns to Automotive Ethernet Congress in Munich March 4-6, 2024

One of the biggest challenges facing the automotive industry today is the strategic shift away from its traditional focus on hardware solutions toward a new software-centric approach: the Software Defined Vehicle (SDV). The digitization of the automobile requires a radical rethink of both development processes and the entire vehicle’s architecture. At the heart of that architecture is the In-Vehicle Network (IVN) and, consequently, it will be directly affected by these changes.

In the past single criteria such as data rates, costs or the engineer’s familiarity with the technology were the main factors driving the selection of a particular network technology, today new questions need to be asked: Does the selected transmission technology support the transformation of the E/E architecture from hardware-based to software-centric? Does it offer the necessary flexibility and self-learning capability to be able to continuously implement new functions? Automotive Ethernet, which supports service-oriented architectures, embodies all these features. In addition, Ethernet is now increasingly being used in new areas of application, such as Agriculture vehiclesTruck and Trailer Mining, and others.

The tenth Automotive Ethernet Congress to be held on March 5 – 7, 2024 in Munich will look to address these and other issues. Here, current, and future technology and product developments will be the focus of the conference program, exhibition, and associated workshops. The Congress will offer you the opportunity to share and discuss new ideas around the implementation and use of Ethernet in the vehicle and in your own projects.
