Aviva’s family of Single and Quad port Serializers/Deserializers provide optimized solutions to securely distribute video and sensor data in Safety Critical ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and Autonomous Driving Systems, by extracting and transporting the high-speed video from a MIPI CSI-2 interface and control data from interfaces such as I2C over an ASA ML (Automotive SerDes Alliance MotionLink) interface and vice versa. The ASA ML Physical Layer is based on Time Division Duplexing (TDD) technology, resulting in significantly lower power, implementation complexity, and solution size.
Data Rates: Each ASA port can support data rates as follows:
- Downstream line rates from 2Gbps – 16Gbps (Speed Grades 1-5)
- Upstream line rates of 50 Mbps or 100 Mbps
- 50 Ω Coax up to 15 meters
- 100 Ω STP cable up to 10 meters
CSI-2 Interface: The MIPI CSI-2 v2.1 compliant interfaces can be used in either DPHY mode with up to 4 lanes, or in CPHY mode with up to 3 trios.
Latency: Ultra low latency video and control channels to support flexible local device access as well as ECU to remote sensor/peripheral communication for multiple sensor modules.
Safety: A suite of Functional Safety and Diagnostic features that provide end to end link monitoring and reliability for ADAS and Autonomous driving applications.
Synchronization: Precision Time Base (PTB) mechanism enables precise timing synchronization using Time Stamping, making these parts ideal for use in time sensitive multi-sensor applications.
Management: Operation, Administration, Management (OAM) functionality can be used to configure and control the ASA nodes and to obtain status/diagnostics/debug information for each of the nodes in the Serdes branch.
Quality: AEC-Q100 Grade 2 over a wide temperature range of -40°C to 105°C
